General Question for Nubs

When you create your very first character, does it actually tell you about the young player chest at WBB? Because without some of those starter weapons and armor I don't know If I would have succeeded so easily. So I was really just wondering if it mentions it, in the welcome pop-up.

I'm not sure it does, however the multiple companions that visited you during your first few days i'm sure mentioned it...

I never had a companion visit me in 2013 either. ;-)
