Gating animals for taming?

I stopped playing awhile ago, and just restarted. I was told that gating animals to a location so I or a friend can tame later is illegal now? We used to tame animals to a island or part of a game where all of us where able to tame after the other person. We never did this in a dungeon and that is the part that is illegal ? We never afked taming either. Just liked to have retames for gains. I used to gate all my retames to barrier island for other tamers to get gains from is that illegal? Not everyone afks.

You may not have afk'd using this method, but others have. Not everyone afks... Your right, but enough people exploit this to great lengths, resulting in a new rule.

It sucks seeing major changes to the game, instead of banning repeat offenders. Just gotta live with it, and expect more changes when people exploit.

I am going cover my ass here by saying it's risky and I wouldn't advise it. I would treat the following as though they are two separate actions and that both are worthy of jail time:

However, if you're not afk and just chilling on an island maybe a staffer would be inclined to give you only a warning if it's still outside of the rules, or deem that it is within the rules and leave you be.

Ah ok thank you, Yea we used to tame a bunch of animals and gate to a place let them retame until We where able to gain from them taming them a few times, Never afk and never in a dungeon(This was over a year ago). Won't be doing this thanks for letting me know.(making a new tamer)

Yeah I would just go ahead do the retame thang but at the designated spawn.

I understand the convenience factor of not having to deal with other players/spawn. But if there's enough of you doing it, players with PvPers or peacemakers (who are probably also your tamers for ease of training) will probably take you where you want to go and maybe even with less hassle.
