Have you gotten any loot? I've only gotten a robe and I saw something on the corpse that looked like it was probably some sort of red rune.

Do you mean that gargoyle dude that constantly laughs and points a finger at you while shooting purple lightning bolts that drop from the sky and do 20x multiplier damage and yells "ALL HUMANS MUST DIE!" monster?
Ya I've ran into that guy a few times and the best strategy is to jump off your mount, drop your pants and turn over while pressing alt+b and RUN!!!!
