Honestly we've tried rants twice already.
So no, not until certain people in this community get their shit together.
I'm all for rants and flames, but even player vs player banter is leaking out all over the forums lately.
Certain players just can't handle it.

I totally understand your stance on this. You don't want new visitors to think all of UOF is toxic. The reality is, you the staff, will spend hours upon hours trying to keeps the forms clean. That's going to be an over whelming task. At least if you had a section labelled as "the trashcan" new visitors would read that content with a grain of salt.

Well I mean I get both sides I guess. Rants and Flames is good so people who normally are disruptive and cause issues can have a spot to go vent and be the way they are but the big con is that it looks bad that the forums would even need that section. It looks bad to newer users to see that there's a section devoted completely to toxicity.
I'm really getting tired of contributing real thoughts here.

As @Karl Sagan suggested before, make it invite only and/or its content hidden to people who haven't opted in (like a "you must be 18+ to enter" sort of thing). If the banter gets too much for someone they are free to leave and we can just talk about them behind their back.
