Fishing in Treasure Hunter

Starting my first treasure hunter and was wondering if there was any benefit to having fishing as one of the 7 vs using a separate character.
Any general or build advice would be appreciated as well as I have zero experience here.

You could do it but I prefer using that slot for another skill on my T-Hunter.

My T-Hunter build has..
100 Provo
100 Music
100 LP
70 Cart (This currently can read all T-Maps)
30 Hiding
100 Magery/Med/Eval

You'll want provo to deal with the higher level spawns and with the paragon/holiday monsters spawning while you do it you may still need help. You could always drop Eval or split the 3 skills between 200 points somehow if you want to fit fishing in this build to save a char slot. I think it would be annoying to deal with the sea serpents and such while fishing without archery or EvalInt to increase magic damage.

On my fisher I run ..

120 Fishing
100 Magery
100 Resist
100 Anatomy
100 Healing
100 Archery
100 Tactics

I also keep my INT at 50 on this build so I can cast an EV if I need it. Only down side to this is you can't do the Ancient SOS on your own you'll either need a tamer friend/client or you need to have provo in your build to deal with those spawns. If you went Music/Provo on this build you can drop healing, resist or magery.

Atm i have this build on my player:

Magery 100
Med 100
Provo 100
Music 100
Lockpicking 100
Resspell 30
Hiding 90
Cartography 70
Mining 10


But i want to release music and provo for Fishing and other.
What you suggest ?? I go with two provo aRcher during tmaps so i dont need provo in this one.
Is a viable strategy to do PVM ?? How i can build him ?? There are macro for Fishing with uo steam or something easy ???

This may or may not be helpful:

My thunter has GM hiding/stealth and is my 2nd BOD runner with GM BS/Tailor.

I use my other two clients to mop up the spawn (usually just my Provo tamer though)

Don't try to do too much with your thunter if you don't have to. The template is already gimped enough as is!

nope, i go for tmap with my brother with is provo archer, my ideas is going with him and i take 2 account, my provo archer and this one. So we can do the map toghether and use this template just for support. In this way is viable ???

Sure. You may have difficulty with paragons from high level chests, but you'll be good for 90%+ of your tmapping.

I just said fisher archer because that's the preferred way to sail the seas I feel like. There are fishing macros, you can search the forums for them. But that template would be of no use for tmapping and kept separate.

I never tmap or mib solo. I always go with a bard/archer and/or a mage. My fisher/tmap hunter has GM majery, so summon daemons r useful. I'd say hiding is a must and best pair it with stealth. Pick the chest in hiding. let someone else fight the mobs and hide. I'm a true believer of team work.
