Fairplay Balanced Militia System - Manfro Thread

Since my italian friend who i started the Casino is waiting for account confirmation for typing on forum i'm copying and pasting his suggestion here.

Balanced Militia System:3 milita stones in wbb safe zone, joinable by one character per account, the 3 accounts must be denounced to staff via discords,and the 3 players will be linked and added into the SAME militia, and updating the full militia roasters in uoforever.com , every attempt to play constantly a four account will be easily noticed by the players->council->staff,and player will be insta kicked out of milita on his fake fourth toon,and temporanely jailed on his regular 3 linked chars. Number of militians per stone will be balanced, bigger militia will close recruiting, after a determinate % of the total militians in it.

Militian members with 700 skillpoints,can not leave (absolutely) before 7 real days, and a warning window will be announcing clearly that to them before confirming the ‘join militia’ a second time.

Silver system + punkte : same as faction in terms of gaining / loosing, when a militia is done capping 51% gruesome or regstone all militians will receive 1 kill point + 30 silver in the pack. -

Militian Titles : depending on punkte, same as faction.

Silver : can be spent for Blessing a piece of armour (barbed or metal)or a weapon (melee bows) exceptional made for 1 week (runics allowed), or to place traps, or to buy armoured shrouds and helmet patches. Everything else like rares/relics or unique pixels in general is really not necessary, and will affect fairplay.

Blessing : will be made from militia options directly from paperdoll (also Place a trap option must be in there), it will drain the silver and start the 7 days bless period, no more need to craft it with the silver etc… just have that barbed runic suit / or runic weapon and the silver on you and you are done.

Punkte : are there only for the ladder, and the titles, and ofc for spawning more silvers. Apart that no a real use of them.

Smart Track System : in real life, 12 horses groups are noisy and can be heard from really far when theyr global percection would be low, when 2 horses can be silent and listen more accurately. ->so bigger is the group bigger will go ‘outgoing’ trackin, and smaller will be the ‘incoming’ tracking. This will prevent ebolt railing, and balance a little bit smaller teams or solos.

Traps : they will require to sacrifice one militia slot for the tinker/carpenter or whatever as in factions, but they have limit charges, 1 min 4 max, , 3 kinds of traps, explosion 70% of life down unresistable (only on stomper non area damage) or lethal poison, or stick traps (will cause 3 seconds stun unpouchable) all the traps must have a cooldown on re-activate of 3 seconds, and 4 tiles area minimum distancee between each other trap. Clearly a 4 charges trap will cost x4 times a 1 charge in terms of silver. Lethal poison should be the cheaper, others 2 should cost the same, and one tinker/carpenter cant have more than 4 total actives traps at the moment

No Extra perk at champs, i think about it more,and it's really a bad idea, it will clearly affect the fairplay.

All the same militias players will be able to chat each other, like in an alliance.

That said, i'll tell you the truth Shane, and i'll speak it once and is up to you if you want to see what's really happening, becouse i don't like (and i take no advantage) of lyng on the discords channel ALL DAY / ALL DAYS like girana does,trolling here and there, whispering your hears fulltime, What is really RUINING your shard is the poor -non etilits pvp- that reds do at champions spawn, (teams on the call vs randoms provo archers/tamers) that non consensual pvp is making you loose more and more players, becouse they keep doing it around champs / bosses and you may understand (a lot better that you may understand militias)that someone who loose a relic get really frustrated, i heard everyone around the shard complaining about that,i saw ppl quitting for EQMS and it's happening again for VANQ, we elitie consensual pvpers (lol to that definition) have nothing to do with that shit happening, we are fighting in brit between people who enjoy to fight... so please if you could breath, relax, and stick out girana away from inside your hears for 20 seonds,and watch shard closer, what you will see is that Balanced Militia is just the solution for your main problem. Elitist pvpers as you call them dont like to kill tamers, or farm gold full day, with a lot of Consensual pvp activity reds would hardly being able to raid anything.. and you shard will have PvMers and PvP both side happier."

While I agree that balanced Militia's, a consensual playground is something that needs to happen, in order to really give PvP meaning - I don't know that I understand your suggestions above, nor what they do to bring the average PvP'r into the mix..

How does the balanced Militia System balance a system? I still think they need to go back to two militia lists, your inactive roster, characters can all join militias, and be inactive, and when you want to opt into Militias, you can, however you limit the active roster to 8 players per guild. This keeps the size of the group down on the field, as well as allows you to retain any points you've gained. Find the right cooldowns for opting in/out of Militias, so people can't abuse the feature to avoid confrontation.. In fact, you don't even need an inactive list, just retain peoples scores, when they leave militias if they remain in the guild, and you've got your inactive list..

Your silver system is purely for blessing armor/weapons - honestly as a mage, what do I get out of this system? What motivates me to farm silver, and compete? I'm seeing nothing here.

Punkte - I'd love to see a ladder based system, give us a reason to compete. I'd also love to see it defined by seasons every 3 months, where records are kept of past winners to help feed our competitive nature.

I love the idea of smart track, very solid idea.

How does balanced militia system balance? It would momentanly block the possibility to join one of the 3 militia avaible, if that has more than 40% of the total players in it.
Every player should declare his 3 characters / accounts when joinin a militia, in order to keep it clean from abusers.
A list of all the militia players will be updated on the site.

So u'd see my 3 Characters name linked , in the shadowlord list, Manfro / Smooth / Dexxer.

Let's make an exemple, let's say i want to abuse becouse i dont follow rules, and i've six accounts active,and i start using a fourth character (costantly not once, noone cares if i use it once),named XXFAKEXX to fight at gruesome after all my others 3 are ghost/statloss;

first of all that char would not declared in the website so i'll arleady be sospicious or i've arelady lied to staff about it on who i am!! risking jail / bann, even if i did it all smooth and clean, when someone watch me restockin with XXFAKEXX in my house/butler, or playng with others of my team using XXFAKEXX toon, or just noticing that when XXFAKEXX is rolling, manfro / smooth / dexers are never on... and in many others way the community will notice that really soon if the use of the fake is really costant. (pvpers are very sensible about what other pvpers do)

Basically if im abusing, i've to lie to the staff at first,risking to compromise my status,then i cant use my house, i cant run with my mates (basically uselss) and i've to take care even when i talk or interact,becouse noone of those who im fighting /interacting has to recognize me.


As a mage you would enjoy Barbed runic leathers very much! or +Ar shroud, and +Ar patches for helmet. That's all a factioner really needs.. Rest can stay outside of faction system.



The idea to reset after 2 monthes the ladder is defintly appropriated, and is being used in a lot of AAA+++ games

Yes, but there is some important differences,
first another EQMS could not exist, becouse they could have not 230 players in the same militia/faction at all, no more bases and sigils, only gruesome and regpoint, wich i totally agree with Shane there, Easyer and dumber a thing is , better will work,

and people wont be (theorically) be able to play different factions if not playng undercover risking consciunosly to be banned.

Basically the goal was fixing the 2 weak points of faction system: Massive recruitings 'mafia' guilds, and Trolls, since i hate discords i tried to figure how to use such a powerful and direct communcation instrument FOR the shard and not AGAINST it, and troll-self defense is atleast is a good use we could do.
In poor words, mine is an attempt to defend the shard's pvp activity, rest is Osi faction system preety much, you will just loose all those people with 6 accounts who used to spy / same factiong pk / guild joining undercovers and this kind of bullshit, and the specter of a eqms 2.0

been active for one week in discords, against my willing, just to try uselessly to fix the actual pvp system wich is private,non consistent,and pro trolling, and i've to admit that you always been there Girana, you are the brightest dark side of Democracy i've ever met,and anytime you talk i appreciate how important and strong Democracy is, and it makes me understand why so many wars / casualties we had for that cause since Rome invented it.

i've arleady explained how it works, tracking gets more malus as many friendly player the one sayng 'i seek my enemies' has close to him,in poor words if there is 3 groups around brit, A = 8 players B = 2 players C = 7 players , A will certanily track C , C will certanily track A, B will certainly track A and C and wont be tracked by A & B if not super close.

This would happen in real life, 15 horses running around town would be heard very far, and at the same time they would be noisy and have very little percection of what's around them.
And ofcourse it wont STOP zergin, you can't really STOP anything in uo, and that's why i love this game, it will just balance a little bit, helping preventing the zerg of 2 players who run into 14 explosions weakens

this is more pertinent that you may think! i guess a 5 min cooldown every message you can send to your own militias online, would be enough to make it sound boring for trollings spamms intentions

way better trust me, more safe , more balanced , + the final goal would be redesigning the Warriors hall outside brit bridge to become a pvp Castle, with 3 sides opens, and have the gruesome inside there...that will create random daily spectacular fights, and it will be really awesome to play for Everyone, even a random guy with a bow and 20 bandies.. but for this i need silvio and ten good-hearted people to test it PROPERLY, didn't mention it on the project becouse didn't want to make it sound a dream.. you know, step by step, or no steps at all at the end.

Yea Drask i've been told that for real, since im in the game i helped gettin started 15+ players even being non rich ingame, i've 'worked' with Sylvio create a Real casino for the community, ingame i've always encouraged fairplay / no reskill / ress if you kill a poor guy in dungeon / dont pk next to bosses / no stats on pks you kill / don't play with other groups if you have your own.
The only 2 messages i sent Shane in almost 3 years before the pvp system went private/broke : i need my butler's name changed - if you need some pvp video for marketing feel free to ask us...
I don't know what to say really, for sure i wasn't very calm while finally i'd be talking to Shane, i went mad after listening 3 days girana kaz and all those DiscoTrolls (trolls who live in discords) spamming useless informations to make my posts go confused,just tryng to make me go nervous and loose credibility i guess it worked since im banned from uof discords and i'm not going to make a troll account to be there like everyone else does.
But is clearly my bad, i understimated trolls and they got me in theyr trap, should have not expected anything less promoting a troll-defending pvp system.

I hate to say it mate, but blaming others for your own failings makes you lose credibility too, though that's neither here nor there..

In regards to your suggestion, there are a few problems I have with it.

1) if you want to play with friends, how do you get on the same faction? It's a game, people should be able to play with who they want. If you are on a faction that is full, and you've recruited some friends, what do you do?

2) if one side is dominant, based on numbers online, how do you stop their dominance? Could easily end up with 15 v 5 v 5 fights. People would just log out.

3) what is the incentive? I'm a PvP'r who has been PvM'n for a year because there are systems in place that allow me to work towards a goal.. (talismans, contracts..). To own blessed armor does nothing for me.. I want to build towards something? I want my time and effort to be rewarded.

thats why they all hide in vahalla, discord or quit because they can take a death.
