Yeah the max 5 tile thing is a funny one, when you look at the phase which I think is a min of 7. I could be wrong but it doesn't really feel like archers get the base tali damage increase at full range either.
Yeah I think beserker is the best option for archery but I still feel like it is neglected in comparison to it's other weapon skills (even when comparing to non talisman mechanics.) But it is what it is and ya have to make best with the cards you are dealt.
