Anyways, I just wanted to thank the staff for this item.
I've always been a huge fan of the nostalgia involved in some songs from this game. Specifically Minoc and Moonglow.

Glad you enjoy it. When Adam initially made it and demo'd it for me, I loved it. The Minoc song is definitely a favorite.
Hard not to get goosebumps from some of those tunes which take you back to 1998/99

Look at the conquest page for character development, it says you get one for placing any type of house. Kind of wish this one was retroactive. I'd have to pull my vendors, then drop and replace to get this one.

Ya. However look on the glass-half-full perspective. A new player that places their house and potentially breaks their bank can sell these to vets that have already established themselves. Getting them back in the game quicker? Or even get them to put up those walls if a custom is chosen quicker.

How do I claim this prize? It says completed on 5/8 but i never recieved one, and dont see a place to claim it in "conquests"

You have to have to upgrade your client to the latest version in order to have it appear in your bank.

I had that happen to me, placed a house, obtained the achievement, no doorbell in bank house.

Upgraded to latest client version, Doorbell appeared in my house.

Also, if you have the doorbell placed in your house and log onto an older client version, it'll appear as a unused blacktile graphic.

Thx for this info. My neighbor has a doorbell and it is an unused black tile for me, so this must be the reason. I always thought maybe he got a bugged earlier version of it or something.
