Does eval int effect the poison spell?

Cant decide if I should drop inscription on my fencer and put poisoning on him instead.

He has GM magery and was wondering if the poison spell would be as powerful as on a nox mage with eval int.

I'm pretty sure eval has no effect on your chance to poison.

poison is magery only, no eval needed.

chance to apply poison is a check on magery level versus opponents resist.

poison grade is a check based on poisioning skill level and im not sure if distance from opponent is a factor here anymore or if so what the range is now.
