Do not scuttle your ship, No warning

I didn't know what scuttle ment and I just placed my ship going through the options..

Apparently it sets the boat on fire and sinks it.

Check your bank it should be in there. I think many of us did the same thing ha

Yeah I found it, but scared the shit out of me I was like 45k nooooo

It can actually come in handy if there's a ton of spawn on your boat and you can't dry dock or you have a dead pet that's not yours and can't dock it, etc.

Do you loose your ship upgrades if you scuttle it down?

I want to say yes, they probably end up in the "Pirate Booty" chest that shows up after a boat is sunk. Take off all your upgrades before scuttling a ship.
