Decrease skill without the 700 cap?

I have 104,3 tailoring on the crafter I'm building and have bought the 110 PS as well as some SS. However, I can't raise the skill to 105 with a SS because it's to high (only 1 skill point increaments). If I was capped I know I could point down tailoring and up something else that I could train and that would have lowered tailoring... However, now I'm not capped this won't happen so my question is if there's another way to lower tailoring to 104?

Without being capped, no. You could always just train up some easy skills like arms lore or eval int to get to the cap. Or just go around buying up skills from npc's til you're at the cap

I mean don't set your tailor skill to down and go buy skills to hit the cap since it might drop tailoring. Hit the cap, set tailor down, raise a skill manually to drop the .03 tailoring, set tailor to up, eat scroll.
