Crafting Area Stealing

I am new to this shard, so I don't understand all the rules yet, but I have a dilemna. I am being stolen from by a character that doesn't go grey once they steal from me (or my pack horse). Is that something special in the British Craft area?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't believe this is possible. Even if you don't notice the theft, they should be grey to you if they stole from you.

They were stealing from a pack horse, if that makes any difference. I honestly had my pack horse pack back open, watched the items disappear, then the thief (still blue) ran away. He stole 4 bows in a row.

Thief is the only thing I haven't made yet, so I can't speak from experience. I can tell you that investing in a pack beetle is a great idea, you can get back on it and they cant steal while you are mounted.

I saw it... But I couldn't tell if he wasn't grey to you. I was even spamming "guard" in every two seconds. He was still blue and not guard whack. Saw he running away as blue. Since he stole it from you successfully therefore I wouldn't be surprised if he was still blue to me but you r saying he was blue to you ? That's really strange. I'm not sure if this is important but was ur pack horse bonded?

Yes. Pack horse bonded and he was blue during the time he individually stole 4 bows. Really weird.

Is this this Blue Viper guy? He nabbed something from me the other day and stayed blue. He then proudly took his new +10 ASH to the bank lol

If you don't have enough cash to get a giant beetle yet then I'd suggest you get a trapped crate or lockable one. Put ores in the box and lock it after u put things in it in a packed horse. The point is thief can't steal the whole crate from you if it's over 10 stones, can't open the crate and loop if you lock the crate if you secure the key like putting the key inside another trapped crate in your backpack. If you got legendary trapped crate then thieves will be instant dead upon opening the crate. Get hiding as well.

Another easy thing to do, without hiding, is just keep your bags "open" so you can view whats inside them, but cover the bags in your inventory with clothes and other things so they cant even see the bag, and they cant move 3-4 pieces of clothing to look into it.

There are thief scripts or something that organizes the bags they see when they steal, can't hide your stuff like in the old days.
