Couple questions regarding fishing

1) I know dual client pvp is forbidden, but in the off chance a pirate attacks are we allowed to use both characters to defend ourselves? (I have an archer bard fisher and Mage fisher).

2) what slayer bows should I target for my archer? Elemental ban for the water eles right? Are serpents susceptible to any slayers?

If you are attacked like that light them up with both.

I use water elemental bane for elems. . Serps are pretty weak so just use the same bow for them. No double dmg there but it still only takes a few shots

Snake's Bane and Reptilian Death work on serpents. I like to conserve my arrows and bow durability personally, so carrying a crossbow might be a good alternative to 2-3 shot serps.

Cool. Also what do you do with the gems? Vendor them or does this share have anything useful for them?
