Companions & Stuff to do as a newbie with others

Hello,

had an account here for almost a year. Played a bit at the start and then just drifted away. Now I have that UO twitch again and I would simply like to find likeminded people to go 'adventuring' with.

So far the Young guild is completely dead and Companions do not work/exist. (Page companion or somehow contacting them doesn't work.)

I just want to play with someone and be a little bit RP-ish about it. You know, exploring, dungeoneering, helping each other and stuff. I am pretty new in terms of the map but I have a bit of experience playing UO overall so anyone willing to party hit me up on IRC (Delzor) or here I guess.

I must apologize as well for myself and my few Companions. Sorry one of us were not there for you.

Do you mean that Companions do not work because a Companion was not available when you tried to page in for one? Any player that you come across in-game with Companion title after their name may be flagged down for assistance. Our Companions are always happy to help, and many will even provide basic starting equipment.

The [NEW] guild chatter does vary; at peak play hours it can be fairly constant and it's a great way to quickly reach out to other new and returning players. Also our Young dungeon has several entrances within Britain and is a great place to meet up with other starting adventurers. Remember you will receive a boost to skill gain here while training in dungeons and all Companions may also enter Young dungeon.

Our Companion Elder Hall within Britain is regularly stocked with donated items from veterans to Young players. (Stock varies depending on recent donated items; however, this chest is filled regularly so check back often.) The Elder Hall is building located directly northeast from Britain main bank. Head down the stairs to ice-white donation chest within basement, and feel free to help yourself to anything in that chest. Usually after a fresh re-stock I'll also globally announce to all in [NEW] guild.

I am confused about the Companion system. When I try to page I simply don't know if the page itself is even sent. There are no alerts and when I try to read some information about 'stuff' ingame, a lot of the links just go to 'The Defiled Crypt'. Seems bugged.

Nah, I don't believe the Companion page-in gump is properly working at the moment.
