Community theory crafting: armor rating

Ok light hearted question. It maybe simple maybe not? This shard has alot of unique things I or others may not know.

The topic is armor. I know there is some crazy exceptions to this rule for example turkey armor or something but..

What would the best armor (highest armor rating) WITHOUT a shield you could currently have in uo forever? That's the only requirement no worries about being medable or can't stealth in it. What is the highest you can get reasonably? Player crafted? Monster loot? Is there a semi rare rare pieces floating arround that's not one of a kind?

Anyone know or care to wager a guess of what it is and it what the armor rating will be?

Yes.
Not sure (guessing somewhere in 60s. A valorite plate set is like 55ish or so. I believe I just wore a full Invuln bone set other day for around 58. Or maybe Invuln Bone = Same AR as Valorite plate just no dex loss).

Numbers aren't super accurate. Off the top of my head. But generally the right area.

No no this is good I want to do some number crunching and experiments ranging from no armor to what can be a "Max" armor to compare differences.

Please tell me that draginscale is repairable.. would it be tailors or smiths that repair this?

ive never personally repaired dragon armor but would guess yes, by a blacksmith. i would be curious if it possibly fails a lot.

at 120 skill a dragon breast plate is only about 50% chance to craft exceptional. either need a ton of scales or you want to be holding an Ancient Smithy Hammer +60 for dragon scale stuff.

might cause an issue with repairs. ive personally never dealt too much with dragon scale

oh theres only 1 type of dragon scale craftable i believe. its either that or there is only red and black scales but the difference is just aesthetic

Invul plate gives the highest AR, not dragon scale. I believe a full suit gives 65 AR, so you can have 73 AR through blessed AR clothing and 84 if you put arch protection on top of it.

If he's right then Valorite will be a lot less. Full Valorite plate is about 55-58. I didn't expect Invuln plate to be so high but he may be right
