colored ingots and armor bonus

I would like to know if colored ingots and armor bonus on UOF are the same as described on this page :

Nope, you just get an AR boost of about 2 points for each new type of suit (36 AR for a full suit of iron vs. 52 AR full suit of valorite). Also, stronger metals have higher durability.

Are there more ores over 100 mining? I think 52 ar is too low. My mediocre magic armour pieces gives me +55 armor

at 120 you can mine Crystals, which are used for Legendary Crafting (cant use crystals to create armor). More-so for i believe creating a soulforge

Magic Armor is > Crafted Armor fyi. If I'm correct Hardening > Valorite... or it could be Hardening<Valorite<Fortification... regardless Magic Armor trumps Crafted Armor.
