Bored, reading some threads. See a thread labeled GM archery is no good.

I love archery and think it is shit on this shard, and have some thoughts I would like to share.

Well I guess not. The thread was closed. I have had about four of my threads closed and two deleted. So I read through all the post. I am looking for he post the offensive one that caused it to be closed.

I didn't see any reason for it to be closed. Did you?

Are threads that are creating real buzz, that go against the agenda of this shard, the cause that closes a thread?

Yes tons of people use archery for champs, but why? Stand in one spot and run a target closest grey/attack last target loop. While standing still using a auto killing loop, hit up provo to cc everything. So archery is a must for a lot of people. But go hutting with an archer or better yet. Give me a reply if you have been pked by an archer that wasn't four stealth archers that sync drop you.

If archery was OP then so many pk's would be running with archery.

Just tired of threads that are creating buzz getting closed. Can a GM tell me what a threads has to do to get closed? What is the list of no no's?

Why create forums and different sections for your players to express themselves just to say ummm that makes us look bad, thread closed.

IDK maybe I am way off.

Thoughts? Haters welcome @Shane.

It's been awhile since I've seen someone push so hard to get themselves banned just so once they are they can say "see told you they're a bunch censorship @/$#".

Take a breath. Get over yourself. Your not special you don't deserve special treatment and you don't deserve to be heard if all your going to do is whine.
Don't tell me anything your saying is for the betterment of the shard because you only went on this rant after not getting what you want.

Wasn't the Rant and flames thread deleted. Seems like a giant rant about something that isn't broken or needed to be fixed. Maybe that's why your threads were deleted.

Maybe use your brain to think of a good positive idea to support fellow archers such as yourself. Then maybe it won't get deleted.

Who said the forums were ever designed for letting everyone express their feelings/selves?

The forums are for game help, to build community, trade, general information and talk, suggestions, bugs, as well as many other things, but to say it's here so that everyone can come and tell us all their personal issues about their own personal play style is pretty off the beaten path. Unfortunately some players do use it for just this, they make posts such as this one that adds nothing to any of the topics i just listed above but just creates dramatic banter, or i guess what you call "buzz" and consistently ends up in nothing but negativity.

I really do welcome mature discussion about mechanics or issues that one may seem wrong, but make the post respectful.

We are moderating the forums as we see fit and we don't want players wasting their time reading bullshit that they can go read on 4chan.

But otherwise, threads can get locked for many reasons. Mostly they just get derailed and off topic and end up in back and fourth keyboard battling.

The forums is not your personal therapist and is definitely not a place to "let off steam".
I am pretty disappointed in how you think a community should work and be.

If we let posts like that go on everyday this forum would be a bloody nightmare, and what does that do for the current players, the staff or new players looking to join? Absolutely nothing positive.

In all honesty we are MUCH more lenient lately than we were when UO FOREVER first started.

With that said,
If you have an issue about something post about it in a polite, respectful and MATURE manner and you will be responded with such.
