Well thankya! That back part of the house actually has a secret chamber hollowed out underneath it, where friends can teleport and contemplate the universe in isolation. Like a poor man's cellar!

Hehe, @AssHat informs me he used to have a house there and eventually dropped it, so I guess @Bill Bryson must've happened upon the empty spot, which was subsequently sold to me.
