client doesnt load properly

last night the game was working fine i couldnt complain at all
wake up this morning and try to load the game as per usual
and it won't even load into the login screen

i havent installed or removed any programs since then

i did try a reinstall of ultima online and razor and neither has fixed the problem

ive even tried just loading the uo client on its own without the razor launcher and the same problem
i get the "not responding" before the login screen even shows up

for some unknown reason it appears it's decided to start working again

for some reason the game client wants to access the cd drive, thats why its freezing but im not sure how to fix it
