I usually open paragon chests by having a MOB plow over them, or just sell them unopened. But I'm thinking this one might have more exceptional value.
Would really like to know what kind of contents to expect.

Its just regular paragon loot in the chest, with a small chance of a coloured statue... so, most likely the value is just the special hued chest, i.e. red or green. The chest value is probably around 25k in value.

Sheesh, really? The "Chest of Christmas Wonders" is just filled with boring old paragon loot?
I mean, the name of the thing makes it sound like it's filled all kinds of wonderful, magically awesome stuff like candy canes and elf boots and gingerbread men. But noooo....

i got a neon green from a greater blood ele and haven't opened it will my loot be better than say an ettins christmas chest?

A bit, it's a standard paragon chest just colored and labeled differently. The platinum in the chest increases based on the tier of the monster you kill. Additionally it will have a Tmap inside that is one level higher then the maps that monster normally drops. Gold is pretty horrible though - I got 800 from a chest from a Paragon WW.
Rumor is there is a minuscule chance it may also have a Christmas hued statue inside - unconfirmed for this year.
