It was coded to automatically do its job, which was to announce it to the entire server thus everyone knowing.

LOL jdclave you dumb fuck, only people who are not mad about this is the people who were not going to put any money in the raffle cause they are poor....so jdclave enough....... im not raging nor crying just simply saying its bullshit that there was not a post or a server wide message saying wtf happened and if something will be done

Except there was a post this morning from Shane explaining that the draw happened early due to a coding variable.

I would've spent 1-200k on this raffle just like the last castle, but had barely been in game during the 2-3 days tickets were available.

Boohoo you didn't get to spend MORE money on a raffle.

You should be compensated?

Go fuck yourself.

* and apparently you're one of the poor folk because if you had any assets at all you'd just buy a castle

If you have double my assets its due to one of two reasons: you spend an inordinate amount of time playing UO or you're a donator.

It's not an issue of compensation really.
The real issue lies in the fact that the people that lump summed their raffle purchases in the first day or so of inception had a MASSIVE advantage over those that trickle their raffle purchases over the week (was supposed to be), or waited to sell shit to buy more under the pretense that the raffle was still 4+ days away.
I don't think anyone needs to be compensated, because yes, an error was made, not end of the world.
Outside of the data from tickets purchased getting lost, however, I don't understand why it wasn't allowed to continue to run its course until monday with all the data still there in the lottery.
The claim was that the winner from the erred lottery would be up in arms...
Any mature "winner" in this situation should easily be able to recognize this mistake, and be fine with it being able to continue fairly.

Again, the only "unfair" aspect is that this raffle HEAVILY favored those who lump purchased early. Personally, I had no intent of buying tickets, 2 castles and inability to place is pointless for me.
I've farmed and gotten taming scrolls/awesome drops and all a sudden bam, server down, and revert no warning. I don't *****, it's a go with the flow. Shit happens.
Just really slips me that they couldn't allow it to continue. Noobs isn't an idiot. He knows there was an error. Not sure why they'd be so dead set on catering to a single person potentially "getting upset that his errored victory would be taken away", as opposed to the other innumerate amount of people on the shard, some of which feel cheated.

hey im happy a guild member won the caslte....couldnt have gotten any better results........but like Nihilism said i wanted to slowly put money into it since i put about 2.5 mil into the last one right away and didnt win.....

Soooo... I didn't buy any raffle tickets, but I was going to. Now I feel entitled to a handout from the staff because of their tiny mistake.... LOL

But seriously, I think we all agree that what happened sucks, every one but Noobs that is. IMO, they should have extended the raffle back till Monday, but I get why they did what they did. its really no loss for anyone as it is. if you put money in, you had an chance at winning. if you didn't, you didn't lose anything. stop QQ and get back to playing.
