Can I train my meta pets skills afk?

Young Player Help
Yes, there are no rules against this. We say training your pet AFK is against the rules but we mean that leveling it up is. I'll see if I can get a rule update.

Thank you for the quick response. I assumed as long as I wasn't killing mobs I was in the clear but better safe than sorry with a 15m pixel.

Yea something isn't right here. That means, if I park it at skeleton jail cells @ the bard table, I can not only rack up skill xp, but you can also slowly grind the "kill x undead" conquest.

.. But then again that's been happening forever now.
(the skeletons instantly respawn, and never leave the room)

The key was you cant afk kill mobs but you can afk train skills. Gaining conuest points is akin to afk resource gathering.

Yes it is akin to afk gathering, but guess what, noone has been banned or even jailed for it. They've gone as far as to remove the doors to the jail cells, and added lich spawns, but that didn't fix the problem.

How do you afk train meta skills, then? We're talking meta skills, not 7xing your regular dragon.

Edit: my understanding is you can only gain xp on mobs that are the same strength as the meta, therefore, to NOT gain xp, you must fight smaller mobs. Somethings still off with this whole idea, UNLESS you can train on dummys.

You actually gain but only 10% of the mobs total hp for weak mobs but killing mobs is training xp and that is not allowed. There are ways to train pets that don't require them to kill mobs and it would seem these are fine as long as your not killing mobs.

Yea all is good if there's no mob killing, but people should know how to train their pets skills afk if they want to and it's allowed...

.. Lemme guess, another coveted secret? Lol

That sounds rather entitled. But pet training is nothing new. You can have it fight another pet or cast spells on it to gain resist there is lots you can do and if set up right afk is possible.
