Can I log my Brothers account on my IP?

Right, I know its 3 accounts per IP, and although I am new here Ive already started all my chars so I have 3 accounts. Question is what if I log my brothers account at my house? He lives at a different address and 99.9% of his activity will be from his IP. Just wanted to know how this is policed, will I instantly get him banned or visa versa if we log each others accounts at our different homes?

First thing you will notice is smoke canisters smashing through your windows.
Then a SWAT team with UOF insignia come through your windows on ropes.
They kill your pets then open fire (yes they have guns) on your laptop/PC.
You will then be sentenced to be hanged until you are dead. DONT DO IT!

I'm too young to die and my cat isn't even a year old :(. I just won't do it unless someone manages to answer it here, if not ill message Carl in a few days. Don't wanna spam him though as I am sure hes a busy dude.

I dont think he'd mind a sensible question. He'd prob get annoyed if you asked 5 times and didnt wait for a reply ha. I asked about a VPN code a while back an it took a couple of days to get a reply but it came an was helpful. Also I used the in game help once an the reply I got was more than helpful, more than I was expecting. The staff are good here unless you be a dick but you seem alright so they will be coolio. :}

I am sure you will be fine.Sol ong as they can tell for sure it is actually your brother account that he ACTIVELY plays on.
I just wouldnt have more than 3 total online at once.
I AM NOT 100% SURE THO.

I'm kind of interested in this too, because logging in from work would show a different IP :O

Yeah well me and my bro are both in the military so we sometimes cant get on for a while, but would be nice to help train his chars so we can get up to speed on this server :p! That and sharing of resources.

It wouldn't be account sharing, just helping my bro get up to speed while hes busy with work so we can play together.

Hmm I guess so, but we know each others gaming passwords so guess its an integrity check on our part. But for example today he came over to visit with his lap-top, but again didn't wanna risk logging on just in case so I just showed him some stuff he can do to make money on my account.

Yes, yes I promise I wont do this, didn't even know this was a rule, I did point out that I'm a newbie here. Did not know people felt so strongly about account sharing issues or that it was even a thing. Either way, if hes at my house would be nice to know if he can log on and play with me, or if we have to stick to playing at our own IP's on team speak.

FYI I travel occasionally for work and this has resulted in multiple admin inquiries as to why I have like 100 IPs associated with my account and why it looks like I have 10+ accounts.

Each time the staff has been totally reasonable and understanding. I didn't even have to send scans of airline tickets or hotel receipts.

I wouldn't train his chars for him AT ALL, but I think the admins has enough judgement to not outright ban you if you guys are just logged in playing at the same time or something. Just be prepared to be asked about it and be honest.

You'll probably be okay as long as you don't continuously logon there.. I mean, say I get assigned an IP from someone who previously played UOF. It would be pretty unfair to get banned for it. But repeated use might red flag. Just be careful about any violations (i.e. unattended/AFK resource gathering), as you will probably both be banned regardless of whose account is guilty.

Okay thanks guys I think this clears it up for me, I own a house and my brother is a Co-Owner so there's no need for me to log onto his characters, I didn't know account sharing was against the rules so will defo avoid that. I guess this has to be strictly enforced to stop people abusing having more than 3 accounts by creating others on a different IP. If he is here playing his laptop on my IP actively pvping or pvming at same time as me that should avoid confusion, unless I had unreal micro skills and could play two characters simultaneously :D. Although to be honest I think ill avoid it all together.

I just tether off my phone when I bring my laptop somewhere keeping my Ip unique and avoiding any confusion. So if you have a data plan on your phone that is a simple solution and with a good signal ping should be just fine.
