Sand is used for Glass Blowing. GB requires a GM alchemist to read the glass blowing books found at the Alchemist in Britain's Provisioner shop.

You can mine it on any beach or desert, but don't expect to get a lot of resources out of it. Last night I spent about 2 hours mining Sand and only got about 55 units with 1 miner. That's why yourdaddy asked how much mining i've been doing to get to 2k lol. A LOT!

Why would we want to stock up on this before the V&V expansion?

Nice job though, sand is very annoying to mine up. My rate seemed about 20 sand per hour.
