Bow Bless Deeds

There are tons of slayer bows on this shard.

Have some way of turning in slayer bows so that when a large amount have been turned in, you are rewarded with a bow bless deed. The amount of bows should be 1.5-3 mil worth. The higher tier bows should count for more and the lower tier bows should only credit you very little towards the goal of getting a bow bless deed. Perhaps even the lower tier bows that are hard to sell on vendors could be refused as a turn-in and only the tier 2 through 3 bows can get turned in.

This will make sales of slayers bows go up, because people will be sacrificing their slayer bows to get credits for a bow bless deed (BBD). And some people would love to have more than one blessed bow, so this trend will continue.

This will also make more demand for wood because people will be crafting lots of slayer bows to get a bow bless deed.

Keep in mind, the amount of wood and slayer bows it takes to reach the goal of getting a BBD would be rather high so as to not fill the shard with blessed bows. Most people will not spend millions of gold to bless a bow. If they need a slayer bow, they will just buy an exceptional slayer bow on a vendor.

This would not effect PvP much at all because bows are rarely used in PvP.

This would cause slayer bows to go down in number on the shard, and the demand for them on vendors will rise.

This would make legendary bows that deserve to get blessed go up in value.

Sellers of any BBDs should charge at least 1.5-3 million for them, which would be the total cost of slayer bows needed.

I do not support this. Bow sales may go up for a short period of time, but then they will dwindle when everyone has their bows they want. Whats next? Armor? melee weapons? This sounds a lot like that time long long ago when they made a copy of felucca....

How many people will be willing to spend up to 3 mil on a BBD and perhaps an extra mil or two on a great bow to bless? Only a dozen or so players I would suspect.

Whats next? Nothing. It would cause too many problems with PvP if PvP gear could get perm. blessed.

Plus, you have to factor in that even if someone would be willing to spend that much, they would have to spend that much AGAIN in order to bless another slayer bow type. How many people are going to be getting 4x super slayer bows blessed and never have the need to buy one again? Maybe one or two persons who are super rich.

or, when if they add bowcraft bods, have slayer bow bods.. that would induce the sales all of the time instead of slowing down.

I do not like the idea of bow bless deeds... Buy an item bless deed..

No new types of bless deeds should ever be added...

Sorry my opinion differs from yours :(.

Making this quest related to the bow-crafting class would be ideal. Meaning, this is a one time thing you can do for each bow-crafter that you have. This will limit the amount of BBDs that can be made.

In addition, this could help make archery a more viable PvP skill. Whatever uses archery can have in PvP will be improved by having a blessed perfect bow or xbow.

If not this, maybe bowcraft BOD rewards that give you a week long temp. bless on any runic/colored bow will do. Factions can bless high end melee runics for up to a week, and the runic bows should be able to get temp. blessings also. It could be one of the BOD rewards for the bowcraft skill.

If bowcraft BODs ever become a reality, there needs to be a certain amount of rewards put in, and temp. bow bless deeds is a decent idea. I'd like people to be able to use a legendary bow once in a while in the game without fear of losing it. I know that if I ever had an Exc/Vanq super slayer with possibly some good tactics that I would never take it out, but with a temp. bless deed I would be trying it out even in risky areas.

I have a spider slaying vanq executioners axe that I take out often, not as often as my spider slaying power battle axe..

If you can afford to buy it, then you can afford to buy a new one when you lose it..

My last post on this thread or it might make it look like I'm an arse..

Weapon bless deeds used to be around back in the day did they not....? Special purchase kinda deal as far as I recall...like token trade in or something like that.....
Didn't make it to fun for me personally....cant loot someone's sick bow after I've throttled them to death....I use mad bows to!

Just give us some weapon commodity boxes! Bow specifically...to start would be rad!

It's already been established that this shard will only have a very very very slim number of blessed non-aesthetic items. Donation events are one of the keys to keeping this place up and running. Having any blessed weapons or anything with a real function would totally have a negative impact on the already failing economy here. I suggest stock up on your slayer bows. Support ideas that would provide a better economy. The only true value of something is seen when you have risk to or do lose it.

The thing is, for PvP, anyone with the runic hammer can get blessed weapons for up to a week. My other suggestion was simply add the ability for someone to make their PvM runic bow blessed for 1 week via a BOD reward. It isn't the end of the world/shard if this were put in and it is a good BOD reward suggestion. Obtaining the deed would of course cost you something, like several good slayer bows (10x superslayers?), and could only be used one time per weapon.
