I had pmed baracoon long before funnypants posted (because some friends pmd me) and he also didn't know so he wasn't trying to hustle.

Better than a straight up no-show. You can always say hey, I didn't know what I offered was going to be overpaying. This is not a selling thread, it's a buying thread so the circumstances allow for a bit more wiggle room IMO. It's not like he bid on someone's auction effecting the potential sale of that item.
