Attacking and running in a house

Hello,

I'm suggesting to change attacking/flagging so can't run in a house if you have attacked someone. Does not matter if you're in faction or not, if you attack someone you can't run in a house if you don't OWN the house. I think it's unfair that some people just attack and straigtly run close to a house where they are friended, start fighting there and if it seems they might die just run in house, heal full health, maybe precast a spell and come back outside to fight. Also, I seen disarm thiefs that attack you, disarm, steal weapon and run to a house, even if they commit a criminal action. This is a thing that has been exploit way too long.

In factions this already works like this so if you attack a factioner you CAN'T run in a house and I think it works pretty well. Ideas to improve/change current system?

I totally agree about this. There is way too much house hiding going on. I'd love to see it like even if someone attack you and you're either red or factioner, then you can't run to your house unless you're the owner.

p.s. I don't own any houses.

I beleive if you own the house yourself you should be able to run into it.

On the other hand i believe the combat zone outside brit should be a no house hiding zone, and that should go for all around brit, from the current combat zone up the green mile to the mine and over to despise pass and down from there to the water. A no headchop/no house hide combat zone.

RIght now we call it the combat zone but its really just the lemme run to 1 of 12 houses im friended to zone.

Now that i know the ever dwindling pvp community here on UOF by name, i know whos houses are where and whenever i see them i call in on them for someone to recall to one of there houses. Usually 2-3 people to recalling into the 2-3 houses they are friended to, thus resulting in a zerg. I know the people are gonna run to those specific few houses so i typically will have someone waiting there for them or closing the gap as they run there. Thats what this "Combat zone" has created the house hiding or zerg mentality.

Was a time when UO was young and wild and free. That was.. umm... 17 years ago. Time it grew up some. Get rid of those with no skills. If they can't stand on their own abilities, let them die on their abilities.

I'd stump my toe to protect your right to express your opinion. But could you please contribute something of substance to argue your side, rather that just show that you have no substance by just hurling your crap?

that's my opinion on what you said, expressed. I think most people play this game for the love of 17 years ago. I really honestly think your comment was dumb. On uber levels.

Trust me, the zerg mentality was there looong before the brit combat zone was introduced. Plus there is an art to organized house fighting. I don't know how many times i've seen tides completely turn because people do not know how to house fight. IMO its a part of UO.

Even on UOG, where there is mount/player stam loss, house fighting is very common. This is not a UOForever specific thing.

Personally, i would rather house fight someone than have them run 60 screens across the shard.

What about disarm thiefs?
Die and count them. Pretty much stops them in their tracks.

Although I agree with this, I don't think it would be a good idea to implement. There are way too many trammies on this shard for a change like this to happen.

PS: please don't tattle on me like a little girl Athrez

Sure, house hiding has it's place in uo. That place should NOT be in the PvP zone. I say anyone flagged in the PvP zone should not be able to enter a house.

Problem is you cant compare UOG and UOF because UOG u had ways to stop runners and could also do tons of dmg on the run with lwands and pots.

You had Bolas+stam loss+lightning wands+explo pots

here u have none of that and a pvp zone where houses were allowed to be built in (when you copy pasted UOG uoforever's map you should kept the housing area's as well IMO)
