AR Rating Comparisons

Looking to get some input on some armor ratings......
(assuming Grandmaster Tailor)
Horned, Spined, and Barbed and also compared with normal leather suit
What are the AR rating of normal leather suits made from these 3 types of leather
vs
AR Rating of same kind of leather made with its perspective runic kit

Barbed runic is like 63ar for plain leather, where a studded set with bone mask is 67.

You will never see a Barbed runic Bone suit -- a barbed RSK only has 15 charges and it takes more then that to make a full bone suit as the failure rate or non-exceptional rate is abysmal. I used 9 charges just making my studded set with bone mask.

spined leather spined runic made full bone suit no fillers is 58 ar
horned leather horned runic made full bone suit no fillers is 68 ar i cant find my barbed suit currently....

all 3 suits are 120 tailor made and exceptional

Actually, runic smithing hammers cannot be used to forge runic armor - only weapons.

Horned runic leather armor results in 52 AR. I don't see a much of a reason to compare to non-runic spined or horned leather because barbed leather sets are so cheap and easily available. Barbed leather sets are 31 AR and you really shouldn't pay more than 1200-1400 for them. Horned runic leather sets will run around 30K. So it's about 28K for that extra 21 armor.

And there's actually a vendor south of yew gate that's selling horned runic leather sets for 25K

Another way to look at this is extra 21 armor= or 66% better.
