Any tips to GM lock picking fast?

There's someone on here selling lock picking skill boxes.. Everything you need to hit 95. After that you gotta use the skill on tough chests to get skill.. Check selling forums for the package. And all depends what type of monster

My advice, save the 14k it will cost you in buying the kit.
With 1 char that is already built but not 7x buy 30 carp and 30 tink. Make the box and make sure when you create it, the prompt says it is lockable.
With another char (preferably your mule) start with 50 carp and 50 tink and make another wooden box through the carpentry window.
For the GM box, buy it off a vendor (I got mine from someone gating in Brit Bank) unless you GM both crafts with said mule.
From there, create a macro to pick the lock (with your tinker stock up on LPs or buy from a provisioner) and loop it.
Once you get to 95 skill in LP, you must pick Level 4 chests in dungeons. If you would like me to give you some info on where to find said chests then pm me when the time comes and I can provide pictures + locations from a guide I wrote years ago.
PS: Lock your dexterity at 10 while you level as it will net you/save you .2 points at 95.

I'm at 76 lockpicking and hit a wall. I got a GM box from the store you can reach from cove, but I'm not advancing. Scam box? Is there anyway to make sure it's GM? Anyone know where I can get a GM box fo sho?

Does this make any sense? I've hit a wall at 93.4 real (95.0 not-real, or whatever you call it). I'm pretty certain I'm using a GM box. I have 100 dex - does that help me with LP in such a way that makes me max on the GM box sooner? Or is it more likely that the box is not GM after all?
A GM tinker box will only take you to 95, no further. Now you have to move on to dungeon chests for skill gain, and it is sloooooow. I've heard that certain levels of paragon chests can be used as well, although I have not had the opportunity to try those yet, so I can't speak from experience on that.
As for your Dex, having it maxed out does increase the skill level beyond the "real" level, so yeah, you prolly maxed out from the tink box a couple of tenths early

I GMd lockpicking just doing treasurechests. But mind you, they have been many, I'd say it probably took me closer to 500 chests to go 95-GM. On the other hand I reason I got the gains for free since I was doing what I was supposed to be doing anyway.

I see. I guess my confusion was that I expected to max on the GM crafted box at 95 real (not 93.4 real). So I have 6.6 more points to go versus 5.0. I guess it's time to start on dungeons and para chests and whatever else .

Decoy, if you drop your dex down you will get the extra points for not having a dex bonus too

At 25 dex you can cap out at 94.7. A lot of people suggest locking your dex at 10 on lockpicker characters until you're done training LP for this reason.I see. Yeah I had done hiding and stealth before LP so I was at around 100 dex when I started. I need to do magery so I'll drop dex to 25 for int and then go back to LP. Thanks for the tips!

I have dex 25, str 100 and int 100. I am at the 94.7 wall. What can I do???
94.7 wall? At 94.7, I thought it was 95, you can no longer gain from a gm locked box. You have to pick chests in dungeons, or pick chests from treasure maps to gain past this point. ( Or paragon chests)

The trick for Lockpicking isn't to have 25dex, it is to start your character off with 10dex and lock it down till your real skill is 95. Unfortunately you will have to gain the 5.3 last points with dungeon chests, paragon chests, and tmap chests like the guy above said.
