Does Equipping Ancient Smithy Hammer increase BOD quality chances when buying a BOD?

No idea but an easy way to test would be to have < 120 skill, equip a hammer that puts you over 120, get a BOD, and see if you get a 5hr timer or a 6hr timer. If it's a 5hr timer then it worked.

tried this out but still got a 6 hour timer..... so... don't think it works.

Well the +20 PS has already seen a major devaluation and this would add to that. +10 ASH are much easier to come by so I guess it's probably good to go off base skill.

yeah I see what you are saying... well.. how about the ability to sell different colored ingots to the npc for a better BOD quality chance... I dunno I'm just dreaming stuff up here. would be nice to have a better chance. even just a little one
