All the owner should have to do is terminate these contracts and they will be gone within a week.

If they didn't have gold on them it has been done in the past. These however do.

I appreciate the effort. No way to internally modify the contract timer? So the vendor's contract expires sooner than it would normally? That way the vendor's gold and stuff is thrown directly to their bank box and the vendor is gone.

Just an FYI to anyone in the future, you can single-click the vendor and choose 'Terminate Contract'. It asks you for a gold amount to offer the tenant to get rid of the vendor immediately. The only other alternative (other than GM intervention) is to just wait out the contract.
