Alchemy bonus w/pots

Why 60 magery? Not that I question your methods, but my character is an alchy nox dexxer and I am curious. I only sport 38.1, too low?

Well i can cast gheal with like 90+ success rate, it gives enough magic reflect circles for an explo or ebolt, i can cast matic reflect without scrolls, invisibility with scrolls, decent mini heal (around 10hp), almost never fizzle recalls

Overall i like it more than 20 extra alchy points which only give me 2-3 more damage on explo pots

@StegcO duel you anytime first to 5, if you win only 1 time i give you 500k if you lose you owe me nothing.

Never take less than 60 magery in a build if you can help it, and you should always be able to help it because you're not going to see the level of utility increase with just 10-20 skill points in any other skill like you will with magery.

And it's really too bad the alchemy bonus isn't across the board for all pots and not just explo.

What does that even mean?
It means you're kicking yourself in the ass if you have low magery on a pvp character.. unless you just plan on going full kamikaze.. which well doesn't work great in most situations.

90 (actually 92) is the level you need to 100% cast 6th circle spells and lower circle spells with enough power to be good. I mean you DO want to actually be able to cure poison right?

Use a potion for curing. I think that having 100% gheal (64 magery) is enough magery to be competitive.

I disagree. The power of your heals/poisons/etc are all based on your magery skill. Having low magery equals less useful spells, even if you can cast them.

Edit: misread your post.

Sure more magery gives stronger heals, but at what cost? I think 64 is the minimal you need to be competitive because of 100% gheal. I only see it as an emergency tool to heal/crossheal dumps considering a low mana pool and no meditaiton.

You are fully able to be competitive on a dexer with 64 magery IMO.

There really isn't a downside to having 90 magery.. I have it on my alchy lj and alchy nox dexxors. GM magery on the other two pvp dexxors I have.

I sure hope so. Even less I hope. I figured out how to hotkey my scrolls and just use scrolls for gheal since I don't have much mana or energy or whatever they're calling it. Hence, my 38.1. I read somewhere that 38.1 lets you go fourth circle without a fizz with a scroll. Hasn't failed me yet. Although I like the idea of it bein stronger with higher magery. I made my char intending to be able to defend myself whilst I PvM so I don't think I'll drop alchy
