A word about IDOC hunting

drinni you're acting as if 1 person is getting them all. There are multiple idoc guilds, and not one guild can lay claim to getting 50% of them let alone 99%. Hell, I was at 2 idocs today where the plot was taken by someone NOT in a guild.

Now take that high number, say 50%, and realise that some guilds have 50 people in them. That equates to a 1% chance of getting the idoc per person, for ONE guild. Not factoring in any others.

If you want to complain about doing something solo that most people group together to do, you're up shit creek. If you want to participate in the new random dungeons by yourself, you'll find the same problem. If you want to play an MMO by yourself you have every right to, you even get the privilege of bitching about it to an open forum, but that doesn't mean that the way something has been done for 15 years is going to change. It's not broken, you just think it is.

If you don't have the personality to make friends, then you better work on your stealth.

This server's population is much to healthy to expect an idoc to go unnoticed. I know a lot of people here are probably glad its that way, the whole point is pvp over free riches.


On most other servers you could probably find idoc's with just a few or no people at them, and at that point no one cares anyway because the population doesn't support any kind of real market for anything regardless. Its a sign that this server is a success that they are always crowded. Should be glad about this.

You've got just as much a chance as the other 10, yes it sux an yes you lose out most times but every once in awhile you snag somethin like 100k each reg or a nice 18x18 like I did on my first and last idoc on forever.

Ever heard of the saying "sore loser" well that is pretty much the whole concept of this thread. People getting upset there not "winning" at idocs so they want it changed. some people only DO Idocs. I don't see Idoc hunters complaining to make taming even hard then it is because there over powering or controlling the dungeons. if your not good at IDOCS then maybe work hard to be good at it and make a guild and get the timers. There's a lot of work that goes into it, that's a fact jack!

I've done few idocs and came off with some cool statues as my best loot. Rabbit and plague beast being my best 2. I enjoy the adrenaline rush idocs give when they fall, and I also believe it is completely fine how it is now. If you want to use one of your 2 accounts to sit there ALL day just to time it then you deserve to know exactly when it will fall.

There is nothing like getting an IDOC all to your self! That being said, it's fun when a ton of peeps show up and your all trying to struggle snuggle the IDOC at the same time.

I think it'd be amusing if when a house falls a gate opens at the YEW or other moongate to the IDOC! The gate would have to be out of the GZ area though. But in reality, this wouldn't ever actually really happen! Which is fine too!

Lol that will never get paid back.. not until some of the biggest guilds stop doing IDOCs, which will never happen.

What about sharing all that information to public instead? Giving headache to bigger IDOC guilds and chances for other. "Sharing is caring" trololololloool

Completely depends on how much value you place on your time. To get exact (to the minute) status change times requires a large dedication of time over a very long period and I don't mean just a few weeks. It's watching a house nearly 24/7.

If you want to do that, be my guest.

I only got the times because that was my source of income when I first started. I had been used to doing nothing but IDOCs on uoforever, so I knew just what to do. Just as on uoforever I would see Father Time everywhere, here I would see always strapped at nearly every idoc, although I am quite a bit sneaker than him.

I am sure you guys all have your stories but my best haul was from a 7x7 mining house. It had one pouch and nothing else. I had it timed to the minute but it was all for naught because no one else thought this idoc was worth anything. I looted the one pouch (about 150k stones) and found a treasure trove of rares, ingots and dononation items. Probably a couple mil worth from that one idoc.

The moral here is although you think doing IDOCs solo won't net you much (and a lot of times they won't), but it is entirely possible to catch that gem as any real IDOCer will tell you.
