I wanted to try some pixel art for UO and had an idea. The idea was pickle jars containing monster heads. Here is an empty one:

Most people like collectibles, and killing monsters. I imagined combining this with some crafting. With cooking, alchemy, tinkering (or whatever actually) you can make a pickle jar.

After consuming certain amount of monsters jars give you a pickled monster head. Here are some examples I made:

These items (a pickled cyclops head, a pickled dragon head etc.) could be mere collectibles. Or they can be consumables giving your character slayer damage for a certain time, or slayer protection for a certain time etc. I didn't post this into the suggestions section because it is not a suggestion (as I don't know anything about the implementablity of such an idea). Instead I simply wanted to share it with the community. Lastly here is an image showing them in game. I tried to match the pastel colors and contoured properties of original UO art.

I suggested an art contest some time ago and it didn't arouse any interest. So I just went ahead and did some in my free time. Hope you like it.

Honestly I think they are a great idea as collectables, and think you should throw it at the suggestions forum.. Anything to give a boost to crafting is great - I'd also love to see more options on the taxidermy kits to be honest.

im all for this. I always loved the idea of collecting things or being able to show off prized kills. it'd give me a reason for targeted monster hunting. i'd have an entire room dedicated to showing off the heads of every monster in the game ^_^

how fun would it be if you could pickle jar people's heads... and it actually showed the name of the player in the jar.. Granted, the head would all be one graphic, but even just to have a pickled head of Zog'orium as the tag on the jar.. epic!

i freakin love this lol, yes this is what i want, i want trophies of my greatest PK's and people who failed to PK me hahaha

It really is a great community, so much that first time in years and years of playing, I decided to join a guild.
I joined the Knights! I am one of them now and I had my first encounter with the orcs just yesterday. I was slain ruthlessly! So here is a gift to Zog'orium:

Reduce jars to half the size and you'll have my support!

Potion keg size seems about right for this.

Also it should be a drop or the components to make these should come from completing specific MOB Contracts to boost that system (and would make sense).
