you can make a bank check for any amount easily, just make a vendor put gold on him and withdraw all but 1 gold, then dismiss the vendor. the 1 gold check will go to your bank.

so your 37 bank check is only worth 37 gold because anyone can make these

You can also make a 3000g check I think that's the lowest. Take all the other gold outta your bank so you just have the 3000g check. Then buy somthing off a vendor for 2999 and it will suck the gold out the check leaving it a 1 gold check in your bank.
