I broke all me gloves and this would have been a nice snag but I missed it amidst all kinds of dramsies on the forums.

If you mine up valorite elementals they auto attack you. Valorite elementals can destroy armor/items in hand in one hit.

But yeah, just like any other piece of armor they have the potential to be destroyed.

Holy crap you can mine up elementals? How rare is that? Ive never had that happen.

Pretty rare. You must use a gargoyle pickaxe that ups the value of the ore in the vein by 1. No matter what kind of vein you are hitting it will upgrade to the next highest ore.

One of the tougher critters in the game. 100% magic reflect all the time, DP hits, heavy hits, and a ton of resistance to physical damage.

Lesser elementals are cake, however.
