The holiday season is upon us! Show us your best Christmas decorating skills for a chance at some nice prizes!

FIRST PLACE - CYRENNIA
SECOND PLACE - MERCEDIES
THIRD PLACE - DERELICTION

Rules​
  1. Deadline is Dec 25th, before midnight 11:59PM CST - Anything submitted after the deadline will not be given consideration!!!!
  2. Post only your submissions in this thread! Any post that is not a valid entry will be deleted.
  3. Include the x,y coordinates in the post. We will visit each house in person to judge.
  4. This is a decoration contest, please include some form of decoration. Creativity with custom housing is nice, but decorations are a must!
  5. Any entries that are a copy of previous entries, or copied from a website will not be accepted.
  6. Staff built and/or decorated houses are not eligible for the competition.
  7. If you own an upgraded island, only the house portion will be judged.

A Few Tips for Success

Have a theme/story to your entry. Example: Pirate themed, dark and gory, and other themes from pop culture. You can also choose to tell a story with the decor. Whatever tickles your fancy! Just make sure it's holiday related!

Use your space wisely! We judge based off of the ENTIRE house, not just one area. If an area seems to be lacking in sections it may hurt your score. The same is true for over doing it. It will hurt your score if it looks like a box of random holiday deco exploded all over your house. Quantity<Quality

Small details can make a big impact. Creative use of ordinary items in ways not normally used can easily impress the judges. Using deco in a transformative manner is more impressive than just simply setting out deco.

Located at scenic (1870,953)...in the desert outside Brit Crossroads (ya know, cause...biblical accuracy and stuff) is a quaint nativity scene depicting the birth of our Lord and Savior. Straight from the pages of Big Daddy's Bible, this scene displays the wonderous birth of none other...than Cheesus Christ. In these trying times, it's easy to get wrapped up (pun intended) in the material aspects of Christmas...and we stray further from the true meaning: the reason for the season.

Few people know of the story of Leroy and Tammy....and the immaculate conception of Cheesus Christ. Legend has it that on the night of Cheesus' birth, Leroy and Tammy were walking to Ye Old Walmart...since Leroy lost his driver's license with that 5th DUI and the riding lawnmower wouldn't start...when Tammy had the overwhelming urge to drop a deuce. She wandered up to an abandoned house...scoping out a spot to pinch a loaf. To take the Browns to the Super Bowl...to drop the kids off at the pool...baptize the baby ruth. It didn't take long for Tammy to realize that this was no ordinary dump. There, in that slum...Tammy cried out in agony for Leroy. The scene caused a commotion, startling the local farm animals as they gathered to see what the hub bub was about (which was really strange for suburban Reno Nevada). There in the slum, Tammy "gave birth" to a tender, mild, 8lb 1oz baby cheese. As Tammy sat there in disbelief, unable to grasp the events that had unfolded that night, three hobos wandered up to the vacant lot that brisk night, bearing gifts of frankincence, myrrh, and bourbon (because who wouldn't need a drink after going through that?) Rumor has it the Starlink satellites guided them. They excitedly proclaimed they "thought they were UFOs!", probably because they were old and still somehow, haven't heard about Starlink.

So remember this Holiday, that Cheesus is the reason for the season...and consume cheese responsibly :oops:

Nestled at the edge of the snow-covered mountains, Santa's Cottage stands in all its festive glory. The cozy abode is adorned with twinkling lights, and a warm glow emanates from its windows, inviting all who approach to step into the enchanting warmth within.

Beside the cottage, a magical area awaits, where children can eagerly share their Christmas wishes with the man in red himself. A small, lavishly decorated stage is set to greet the wide-eyed youngsters.

Adjacent to the stage stands seven giant presents, each as large as a room, serving as a testament to the boundless magic of the season. These colossal gifts sparkle with festive colors, capturing the imagination of anyone lucky enough to witness their grandeur.

Adding to the charm, a nativity scene graces the surroundings. Simple benches invite visitors to take a moment, reflect, and marvel at the timeless story of the birth of Christ. The air holds a sense of tranquility, a peaceful pause amidst the joyful hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

As families gather around, children excitedly approach Santa on his stage, their eyes filled with wonder and hope. The magic of Christmas, encapsulated in Santa's Cottage, provides a haven for joy, wishes, and the enduring spirit of the season.
