decide to take 5m?? if your auction starts at 5 and someone bids 5, why in the world would you not take it?
if someone bids 9m they should feel free to not give 9m just as you are in that case.
this is why such auctions fail often without clear rules and reliable buyers/sellers
Your comment makes no sense whatsoever. My forum post is very clear... Starting Bid is 5 mill... I, unlike Guwap, actually have bids on my thread. I would take 5 mill if that is all I've been offered after a certain amount of time. I'm starting it at 5 mill because I actually want people to bid on my item as well as I want to sell it. In situations like @Guwap , he set a high s/b and it will not be met, ever... His starting bid was the going price when Metapets were released. All the rich people have theirs and as you've seen on the forums, none have sold for that price recently.
I'll do some explaining. A reserve price is set by the seller for the minimum he is willing to take on the item up for sale. Which in my case, is very fucking simple, 5 mill starting bid... As stated in my FIRST post.
Do you see other selling threads state a Reserve price? (i.e. 5 mill starting bid, reserve 6 mill, b/o 9 mill..) No, because that my friend is fucking stupid. The starting bid is obviously the reserve price which is why I set it. This is not fucking ebay.

I only wanted some clarification on the auction. I like to know what exactly the terms are before I bid because many people say for example s/b 5 but won't accept less than 8. If you made it clear that your reserve is the same as your s/b instead of sounding you may or may not accept a bid that's above the s/b, I may not have needed to explain how dumb that is and I would have bid on this item. Instead, you come back and try to insult and call your potential customer names. Don't worry I won't reduce myself to that, I am too aware of your kind. Autism awareness month just passed.
Aware of my kind? You're a complete troll. I have never seen a post with a s/b set for a certain price and the seller stating ANY TYPE of reserve price, EVER. Please refer to EVER OTHER THREAD on the forums for clarity. You act like I'm worried about 1 person not bidding on my item, 1 person who can't even afford the item they're posting on...

Yes, as stated in the original post, my starting bid is 5 mill. Considering there is no b/o or reserve (which have never existed on UOForums) I would be happy to take 5 mill if that is the only bid I receive. Within your own appeal to my 2nd comment, you answered your ignorant question yourself.. I'll explain... Within this comment you clearly understand that the starting bid is 5 mill and willingly acknowledge that if that is the only bid I get, I would take it (thanks for clearing your own confusion up).

LOL. What?!?? If the bid gets up to 9 mill, of course I would take the top bid put forward. Why would the person offering to pay 9 mill not give the price he said he would pay (via forum post)? Explain why the bidder whom posts 9 mill should "feel free to not give 9 mill"... Please.

My forum post is very simple. The rules couldn't be anymore basic. Starting bid of 5 mill. Didn't want to confuse idiots (like yourself) with verbiage. Which it still seems it did. It's a rather basic concept of a starting bid being the reserve price for the auction. Explain to me why you'd even state a starting bid if you have a set reserve above that price. Whoever does that system doesn't understand basic sales tactics. Attempting to sell an item for lower then you'll take will piss off buyers which then will not bid/be interested to deal with you.
