If you don't like what an auction is all about then don't put one up. Why would I bid early and drive the price up. As a buyer you want it at the cheapest price. Hmm weird concept huh?

Good to know your word counts for nothing. Though it doesn't seem like you care about things like that. You should fit right in on this sever.

I think everyone sees what you're saying and you have a valid point. But it really doesn't seem like he was trying to re-neg on something and gyp people. If anything it cost him some money because, based on how many people would have instantly bought out at 2m, it would have sold for much more.

Also from this incident I learned that a better way to handle an auction is to set an end point relative to the last bid, rather than a set time.

apologies dude, i just had no idea what they were selling for or i would have posted a buyout from the start i like to sell things fast. once i seen the small bids at around 1.5-1.75 i figured 2 mil would be an awesome buyout. didnt realize someone would take that buyout so fast tho.

No worries Mate, just the 3rd auction for me where the rules changed mid way through in the last couple of weeks. Grats again.
