pardon my ignorance, but could you explain storage to me? i was under the impression max storage meant it would need the dimensions to add up to 30 (like 13+17 or 15+15).

Hello there, ofc, let me explain. Max storage, when shown, indicates the house belongs to the highest house storage capacity cathegory. You can build up to 4 floors. More of everything like lockdowns, secures, friends, co-owners and so on. I hope it helped otherwise i suggest to surf a bit and check stratics or uoguide for better details. Forum can help too but it's kind of a mess

I'm just asking 60k more than the plot cost.
