Player could have been on tilt. Overbetting is usually a sign on having nothing or being pissed off and making bad decisions (tilt)

Well we have a small table with 1k/2k blinds near the bridge. Do you mean an even smaller one with like 100/200gp blinds?

sorry but I've never seen what you are suggesting happen. It sounds like you got a bad beat and are upset by it but this happens.
If you had a screenshot to back it up, I'd be more inclined to believe it.
Isn't that a good thing though? A new player gets 3-5m from a 250k investment and a vet loses that much. It hurts the vet way less.
New player who is now rich buys more stuff that the vet may never have bought, thus stimulating the economy

I can see where you're coming from on the ridiculous requests from some of the replies to this thread.
Having said that, I don't think the suggestions I made are out of the ordinary for any online poker cash game.
Would you guys be willing to let a 3rd party develop the poker module with...
Just started a thread for this in the suggestions area. Hopefully adam will pick up on it if it gathers enough steam

Here are my suggestions to make the poker system more user accessible and fun to use. Some of these suggestions are fixes for bugs some are wishful thinking. Post below if you agree, disagree, have ideas to add on.
New players joining the table will sit out until the next big blind reaches...
agreed, all in button would be very nice.
However, you can currently miss two hands and then get the boot. If ppl had the option to go afk, like sit out a blind they could just click that and save themselves 20k and not get kicked from the table.
The poker system needs an update to make it more attractive and modern.
Here's what I propose:
New players joining the table will sit out until the next big blind reaches them.
GUMP to show Winner's hand after hand is over as well as any other players hands that were shown during showdown...
Selling:
9 - Cleverly @ 5k/map or 40k for the whole lot
34 - Deviously @ 8k/map or 238k for the whole lot sold to @Duckworth

let's be honest here. The stone was part of the initial deal. Unless the seller made a deal that explicitly excluded the meta ball, he scammed the buyer.
ok serious issue here are the blinds. I've had it happen where I'm big blind 4 hands in a row because someone joined the table. When somone joins the table, they should sit out until the next blind gets to them instead of moving the blind on the next hand!
