I wish I had some programming skills to develop, or help developing, a substitute for Razor. I wonder how many of us Britannians are programmers, and whether talks on making a new assistant app are something they discuss!
I'd go further and forbid mounted walking in any roofed building... c'mon, people shouldn't be galloping all over a tavern, or a tailor shop. That's so unreal.
Also, having to let your mount outside would add to roleplay and thievering.
I understand you, and for that I have a game: Dwarf Fortress. That game has been in constant development for years, it has one of the most complex and complicated playing systems I am aware of, needs more than two assistant apps for playing smoothly, and all that doesn't discourage an...
Sometimes I think it's a shame (and waste) to have so much food laying with monsters, more food than necessary for eating and simply non-profitable for selling... that eventually becomes waste to the system, adding to the amount of objects to be processed by the server
As I see, If people...
Although using those old programs for playing UO may sometimes seem frustrating, complicated, and discouraging... well, since nobody (that I heard of) stood up to the herculean duty which would be to build another UO-auxiliary program from scratch, we're left with those ole ones for playing.
It...
I partially agree to that... the way it is, I see no use in training Cooking, for example - and that, albeit being just one skill, could be the one of a choice for crafting. Also... about food poisoning - there'd be a lot more plotting, more 'spice', as to speak, if food were to be more demanded...
I was wondering... why not having the food/drink system running? I think it might add a great deal of 'real' feeling to the gameplay - not to mention that taverns would prolly get more rounded up with people interacting there!
Why isn't the food system implemented? That's a sincere question...
Welcome back Andreasson! o/
I also came back to ole Britannia after almost 20 years later, and have been playing it since the weekend. I still don't know how much I could play on a daily, weekly basis, but I know it will be fun nonetheless.
I always lobed so much this Ultima games' mystique...
Well... first it was my first marriage, that back in 2002. Then full-time Languages college came, movings, comes and goes, a divorce, frathouse life, partying nightlife... adventures... lol. Now it's been about a year my life's finally a bit more stable, housing money family et al.
I was...
Ohh that's a mystery, enshrouded by the misty veils of Time itself... hahaha. I don't remember! All I know is that it was a quite lively shard, until problems such as overpowered users and a failing staff lead it into a gradual decay of players who were in there more for fun than for lulz.
So here am I, almost 20 years later... hahah. And you know what? It's amazing! Yet again! It seems as if I went back through a double time machine - for both the mystique of old Britania and the joyful nostalgia of interacting with a world I had lived for so much time so many years ago are a...
