You mentioned the game is in German and English? Sounds like you might be using a different version of the client. Perhaps try downloading the latest version as Darkarna suggested. Also, I'd advise looking into getting started with UO Steam (or perhaps Sallos).

So I know the limit is 3 accounts per IP and that's no prob for me (only have 2 accts atm anyway) - but what about IP addresses per account(s)? I travel a bit for work and tend to log in via different IPs at various hotels and also occasionally at my gf's house (she doesn't play/has no accts)...

I have show real on but that's not it :( I had this happen to my Tinker too (went from 99 to 99.9 after using one SS).

It seems like whenever I use a +1 SS it will only raise my skill by .9. For example, today I (finally) made it to 95 poisoning, went to my bank and took out the 5 Poisoning SS's I've saved up and used them... only to end up with 99.6 skill.... Am I somehow counting wrong ?

Trammel is garbage and ruined UO. i don't think it's really even up for discussion. If you want Trammel just go play in one of the official servers.
