I don't know if it's there or not, I demolished the plot and so there should be an empty space of land big enough to place another plot unless someone else took it.
I demolished my house (because I moved to another location) and the spot is currently free. Here is the picture of the plot and it's location on Hyloth Island near that shrine.
It can fit at least a 3 story 14x12 plot.

I'm looking to maybe buy a house on Serpent's Hold but i'm not sure what a typical house on Serps Hold sells for so if anyone one knows, please say so here.
I have both a custom home and classic home but I think the worst problem is that I can't set the access level on the door of the classic home like I can with the custom one even though both are open to the public.
How about if they add some spawn like rats and giant rats to some of the abandoned buildings in the eastern part of Britain so that people could hunt under the safety of the guards without having to worry about being pked?
If it had stayed exactly the same then it would have turned into something like Diablo 2...basically the same game but not a lot of people still playing it.
I do think though that they would have done a lot better (the devs) if they had created pure trammel servers and pure feluca servers...
I have a classic thatch roof hut and it only allows 3 secured containers but I think you can buy extra container slots for houses on the gold sink vendor.
