PVP is now about having the defense talisman? Don't you think you're overstating its importance just a WEE bit? I guess preaching to the choir is fun, but don't expect to convince anyone.
"Berserker talismans increase your weapon damage by up to 50%. This bonus is not applicable against other players."
If I read the above statement, I would interpret it to mean that my weapon attacks against other players won't receive the 50% damage bonus from my berserker talisman. I think...
When I first got here, I argued that blues should be able to intentionally hit other blues with explosion potions if they wish. That change eventually happened, but it somehow also turned into explosion potions hitting allies and guildmates. Eppy is an evil genie.
Explosion potions deal 10-15 damage without alchemy, which is 12.5 average damage. With GM alchemy, they deal 20-25, which is 22.5 average damage. That's an 80% increase.
Not that your argument is good anyway, but no, alchemy doesn't double explosion potion damage, and yes, tactics and eval DO more than double your damage. I think tactics alone triples your damage.
All I'm saying in regards to the value is that whatever change is made should be as generous to talisman-users as possible so that they don't feel robbed, and that the problem being addressed should be worth the price in frustration that will accompany the change. Remember what happened when...
Right, now add 45 more full chests of those and you have the value of the relics alone at a low price. Then add the amount of time it takes to level everything. They're not comparable.
I've heard that Orion's scripting system is even better than UOSteam's. I gave the client a shot and it seemed nice, but I was having some performance issues, such as my FPS randomly tanking and having somewhat low FPS with higher resolutions.
If PVP tamers weren't such a pain to deal with, I'd agree that talismans should probably be disabled in PVP (though not only for the aggressor and with some nuance) and that the problem is mainly tied to murderers preying on newbs. Fixing the murderer aspect is more or less simple, but tamers...
Yes, lumberjacks are really running the show now, aren't they? And yet I'm struggling to think of more than five names of lumberjack characters at all, let alone ones who are noteworthy. Hmm. Your gauge might be broken again, boy.
Let's be clear about one thing: this is not a modest...
Swamp dragons were essential on OSI, as they reduced player damage by 20% as well. I think they're fine here, because they're expensive but not prohibitively so for those who want a relatively small boost in power. Even if you only made 100k per hour farming, that's about 10 hours of work...
Invul plate gives the highest AR, not dragon scale. I believe a full suit gives 65 AR, so you can have 73 AR through blessed AR clothing and 84 if you put arch protection on top of it.
All potions in one's main pack become unstackable whenever one pours an explosion potion from a keg, so getting purples first will allow the remaining potions to stack as normal. It also helps to keep potions in their own container so they don't become unstackable when topping off.
