But they do. Pots didnt splash on friendly targets before and now they do, they have changed how this works multiple times and ended up where we are now.
The notion that exluding explo pots from town will diversify mage pvp is false, it would simply promote templates that can't die under that...
I'm pretty sure this was from before they added friendly fire splash damage to explo pots.
Seems like they found the perfect balance, splash damage from explo pots hitting allies without all the weird guard whack stuff.
I think that change was made based on the false assumption that scribe was underpowered, while in reality stun/scribe is one of the top templates for group pvp.
No it's not obvious, that is why i asked you specificlally to tell me which mechanics you are having problems with and again you saying a whole lot of nothing other than some nonsense about explo pots being juistified because of running. You still havent told me your problem with explo pots btw...
The whole instanced approach takes away from the mmo concept imo. Other games also provided a lot better experience in that regard, stuff like CS or dota for example.
I prefer milita group fights.
"marathon running being allowed" is not a specific mechanic.
Explo pots not splashing on non-combat flagged people was probably done to make pvp in guardzones less awkward. I remember other shards that did have it and other than people doing wonky shit like dismounting to get ppl guard whacked...
Exactly what mechanics do you think are bad?
Why does a single 2v2 video matter?
What exactly did assist programs do to make UO pvp not take skill or timing?
You're typing a lot, but the guy asked a good question and you seem to dance around answering it directly.
What made poison relevant in the past that stops it from currently being relevant?
It seems like a hard skill to balance to me, a few buffs and ppl cant heal a sync anymore.
Yeah, i remember the same, playing alliance on a horde dominated server, winning about 10-20% of BG's only by doing some weird backdoor tactics. BG grind did reward you with some best in slot items (other than MC drops). I vividly remeber how much i hated it, especially as a single target melee...
From a pvp perspective it was a pretty bad system. Farming silver via PVM made it worth a lot less. Most of the silver generated had nothing to do with pvp.
