You can, but it's complicated if you want to avoid using the UOF launcher.
Pointing UOS to the copy is actually a feature in the program, that is why i recommend it that way.
Everyone does, since sallos alone is not enough to play UO. (no complicated scripts to macro characters or other activity and many features not working on sallos)
To run both UOS and Sallos at the same time, simply copy paste your UO directory and point UOSteam to the copy.
Nah, i think "the purpose of gold sinks isn't to remove gold from the game." is pretty clear and false.
What KAZ said is true, staff is always looking for good gold sinks and introducing a mechanic to generate more gold goes against that.
Empty suggestions, because when it gets interesting, instead of going in to specifics you say things like "well balance it out" like it means something.

That is exactly what i'm saying. Staff has explored this mechanic and changed it multiple times and you are currently looking at the result of that.
Other templates are already being used, so in that sense we have diversity already. But putting another template at the top is not mage pvp...
