Well the spell Cure will cure lethal, the balance would be with gcures that can be spammed. You already have a 80% chance to cure deadly poison with gcure, so its already a proven balancer.
I still don't think it would greatly improve pvp much at all other than increase the amount of nox mages...
I could see it as a castable poison at GM Magery/Poisoning with a 25-30% chance. We would have to balance it out by allowing gcure pots to cure it at a lower percentage (maybe like 40%) too.
Could make a nox mage more viable, but other then that, I am not sure how it would make anything...
No, you don't need to reduce your system resolution, just the UOSteam resolution. The scrunched up UOS box text is because you are not running it in compatibility mode -- which allows it to display properly with a large desktop background. My 4k laptop monitor did the same thing but I only had...
So it is not exactly a true trade off, but it kind of is.

Dungeon - High risk of death, normal materials cost, high skill gain

Run UOSteam in compatibility mode for windows 7.
UO only allows you to see so many tiles in each direction. As @Lexington mentioned above, there are some "fixes" out there that will allow the black boxes to populate, but even so, you wont see players, mobs, or other things until they come into...
I put some details about the difference between the clients back in 2015 here: https://uoforum.com/threads/sallos-or-steam-must-be-removed.71916/page-4#post-532493
For the lazy, below is an copy-n-paste:
Sallos:
Pros:

Yes and no.
Keep in mind though that mobs have different barding resistances and some mobs are immune to some barding skills. These barding levels(resistances) are more like gates, although if your skill level is below the mob barding level, you might have a very small chance to succeed. In...
Just to throw it out there, Tactics gives a damage bonus before other attributes like weapon strengths and buffs come in. This means it is included in any base damage calculations as opposed to being added to damage after multipliers have occurred.
For damage, Tactics > Anatomy by a long shot...
I am not sure about #3, but 1&2 sound feasible. I would think instead of #3, maybe have items automatically identify with this skill (ie passive use) -- just a thought.
