Zerker Talisman Leveling as an archer

With 20% less experience gained per tile beyond 1.5 tiles distance to the mob.
The best way to level zerker is jousting with a zero armor macer or axer. If you are at level 10 put Archery on this template.

You don't level it with archery. Drop archery for swords or fencing to level zerker. Once you got it maxed out you can switch back to archer.

You should be able to fit a melee skill if you don't have armslore and want to keep archery while you level it.

Swap magery for Armslore and get a few high charge runebooks or an alt that can gate to get around.

This type of template is actually really effective for PvM. You melee most mobs and when you get some really nasty mob you can kite it around with archery to kill it when you need to bandage.

Well then you will have to deal with slower gains or change your template to melee until you finish leveling.

Tbh archery shouldn't have a distance penalty as it is inherently slower because of how slow bows are. Even right next to the mob you will gain much slower compared to using a kat kyrss or club. You also can't wear a shield which means for a defense dexer you are going to take a loss from lack of ar as well.
I say remove the distance penalty and allow for archers to level at a somewhat reasonable rate.
