What if he donated, sold them and bought all that gear? I mean... Doesn't seem like a huge deal in my opinion.

I am kinda on the fence on this myself.

On one hand, staff has come out and said that if a player is truly young and has legitimately earned his stuff through donating or farming then he has no more need for young status and I tend to agree.

On the other hand, if he remains young nothing is stopping this player from moving into an area of the game where young status can create problems and would need to be stripped.

Staff can look into player activity and determine the amount of horseshit they are up to so ultimately it's up to them to decide if the guy is doing any actual harm farming shit spawn in a shit dungeon or if it goes beyond that and he needs his status stripped (which seems likely in this case based on staff reactions in the past)

Best solution would be to heavily restrict young activity overall so staff doesn't have to deal with this nonsense. Certain large guilds have been known for abusing young status, it's a perpetual problem.

Limit Young's to towns or maybe just Brit, Brit GY, the new player dungeon, and the woods/mountains north of Brit.

Problem pretty much solved.

You should page a GM in game for a quicker response. Tell them player name and last seen location.

This guy defo did abuse young status. He attacked me in the cave then used young recall to escape when I had him on low health. He came back with full invul armour and Halbard. He attacked me again, died this time, within 30s he was fully ressed and fully equipped with the same stuff and back again. I just gave up at that point

Really? It's valorite armor and an orc slayer. I don't see any end game items. I think when I first started here that was one of the first suits of armor that I bought and haven't bought one again since then. From what I remembered about playing in a UOR Era, valorite was the best armor. When I started on UOF I left the newbie dungeon with plenty of money to buy a good suit. So I went to WBB and there just so happened that someone was gating to a vendor mall in Yew selling every type of armor. "OH look there is a slayer vendor here too!"

Orcs seem like a good starting point to get going to build a little nest egg. Once the status drops you are fair game. Being new and losing all your gear is a hardship if you can't build up your bank account early. The guy isn't farming balrons for Christ sake. I doubt a veteran is taking advantage to get filthy rich.

Ok so blessed sandals are the only thing that I see out of place. I am sure he is taking some liberties with his status and prolonging it but for all you know he'll farm his way out of being young when some of the slower skills level up. Page in and a GM can check to see if he is locking skills to keep under 600 total skill.

Otherwise a fucking orc slayer is like 6k. it isn't a super slayer. GM melee skill and anatomy takes a few hours by design on this server. all the gear he is using to farm is basic. He is farming basic mobs. This was basically me when I started except I was in shame with earth eles and air eles.

OP is member of aforementioned large guild known for perpetually abusing young status so I find this thread kinda funny now.

Didn't even dawn on me or I wouldn't have wasted my time here.

Maybe a better strategy would be to recruit him for your guilds IDOC crew than to make and shame? Just sayin'

EQMS, it's easy you can say it. I'm not ashamed by it, Were just another guild of goons who like to piss people off, and from what I've seen being in this guild for 2 months it has worked. And it keeps working. Can't deny it, and when people have nothing else to talk about when it comes to the original post of any thread. The moment an EQMS member submits any input on the topic it turns into a hate thread towards the guild.

While some of the members may have used "young" status to break the rules, I know 100% i havn't. :)

It's not any of that. It's not any of that at all.

Your guild abuses Young status. You can't make this thread because of the company you keep.

You can't wear your newb in purp status as a badge of dishonor and wonder why people judge you for it. You can't do that either.

You may think you are in the clear because you haven't personally abused young status but you need to realize that you are the company you keep.

Get with it, people.
